hippocampus
I painted this Seahorse for an Epilepsy foundation (YAWE). They brought something new to my attention, that the Seahorse is a symbol for epilepsy because The hippocampus is where episodic memories are formed and stored, as well as learning new things and navigation. This piece was very meaningful to me, raising money for something that is so personal to me and painting something that has meaning behind epilepsy. I painted the fin as the epilepsy ribbon, it’s very disguised so I feel I need to point that out. I hope you all enjoy this piece.
