Paintings are like snowflakes.
Kenzie O'Connell is a passionate oil and acrylic painter whose journey has been shaped by her multifaceted experiences. Growing up immersed in the world of golf, she dedicated much of her early life to the sport, even working in golf professionally for a significant period. This connection to golf provided her with a unique perspective and a sense of discipline that she carries into her art.
At the age of 21, Kenzie was diagnosed with epilepsy, a life-altering moment that prompted her to reevaluate her path. The condition introduced challenges, yet it also fueled her creative expression as she transformed her experiences into vibrant artworks. Simultaneously, having faced dyslexia since the age of six, she learned early on the importance of visual expression over written communication. This unique insight into the world around her has allowed her to develop a distinct artistic voice.
Now a full-time artist, Kenzie's work reflects a blend of her backgrounds—infused with the intensity and focus she learned through golf, as well as the resilience she has cultivated through her health challenges. Her paintings speak to a journey of self-discovery, inviting viewers to experience the beauty and complexity of life through her lens.
